DESPITE Chelsea's Capital One Cup 4th round loss to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, Jose Mourinho feels Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi and his other teammates played well.
A Jack Butland save from Eden Hazard in the penalty shoot-out sent the holders out, after the game had ended 1-1 on regulation and extra-time.
Mourinho who was asked how hard it will be to lift his players for the visit of Liverpool on Saturday, said that:
‘It’s difficult. But it’s more difficult when you play very badly and lose, than playing well and losing. They go home with sadness but with a positive feeling. How can Hazard or Oscar or Mikel or John Terry, to say some names, I could say everyone – how can they go home with a lack of confidence? They played well. They didn’t make many mistakes. They participated in the game a lot.
"The attacking players enjoyed playing this game more than any before. Eden, Oscar, Willian - the way they touched the ball showed that."
