Moses: Payet can come back stronger from injury

WEST Ham United winger Victor Moses is hoping Dimitri Payet comes back even stronger after being forced off with injury in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Everton, as per the club’s official website.
Payet limped off the field just five minutes into the second half at the Boleyn Ground after succumbing to injury and is now awaiting scan results to reveal the extent of the knock.
The Frenchman has been the Hammers’ creator-in-chief since switching from Marseille during the summer transfer window, but Slaven Bilic could now face a period without his most imaginative midfielder.
But Moses, who is enjoying a fruitful season-long loan from Chelsea, thinks that Payet can kick on once returning back to full fitness.
“We all know that Payet is a great player and in football you are going to get injuries,” he said. “We had to re-shape and Valencia also got injured. It was one of those days, but hopefully they will come back stronger.”
Payet created more goalscoring chances than any other player across Europe’s top five leagues last year and has made a seamless transition to life in England’s top flight.
Indeed, only Mesut Ozil has out-created the 28-year-old in this season’s Premier League endeavours.
His 46 created goalscoring opportunities have fired West Ham to fifth place in the division standings, with a healthy goal return of five meaning the Frenchman also sits atop the club’s scoring charts.
Despite failing to contribute a goal or assist versus Everton, Payet carved out three opportunities for his West Ham teammates before being forced off the pitch.
