BARCLAYS Premier League (BPL) strugglers, Newcastle and Sunderland are in a hot chase to sign Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins on off-season loan.
Recall the Settle Sounders striker was one time the Magpies record signing when he joined in 2006 from Inter Milan for a fee of 10 million pounds.
Martins has been impressive in the Major League Soccer (MLS) after he dumped Spanish La Liga side, Levante in 2013. He won the MLS Supporters’ Shield in 2014, as well as the U.S Open Cup the same years while with the Sounders.
