3SC target seven, eight new signings

By Rasaq Oboirien
SHOOTING Stars FC of Ibadan have penciled down seven players it intends to sign for the 2015/16 soccer season.
Media Officer to the Oluyole Warriors, Jubril Arowolo told NaijaSportsXtra on Tuesday: "The team is still on break, but we are very much active in the players transfer window as we could sign seven or eight players to beef up the squad before the commencement of the new season.
"The names, you must know can't be made public for reasons best known to us, as contract talks have been concluded with some of our targets, while some we are still holding talks with them or their representatives.
"We also have also penned some players down for transfer as they are surplus requirement for us."
Asked about the authenticity of Kelly Kester's move to Enyimba, Arowolo stated thus: "I have also read and seen the report on the different media channels, to us it’s a rumour as where will a player who's still on break get his release papers from, he could either have trained with the Aba Elephants who off course would have been preparing for the CAF Champions League game.
"To put the record straight, until we resume camping for the upcoming season, then we should know if Kester is still with us or not."
Recall the Coach Gbenga Ogunbote side finished 9th on the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) log last season with 53points.
