41 international athletes for Lagos Marathon

CHAIRMAN Lagos State Sports Commissioner/LOC Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Deji Tinubu has confirmed the participation of 30 male and 11 female international athletes.
NaijaSportsXtra gathered the development from Tuesday's news conference held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Former Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) boss now Senator, Solomon Ogba also hinted that some other major partners will soon be announced and there will be massive doping tests after the race.
To checkmate any form of sharp practices, Yusuf Ali, General Manager of Lagos Marathon did announced to the media that the LOC will make use of technology to track and monitor

athletes.
There will also be insurance cover for the athletes that would take part in the Lagos Marathon.

Meanwhile, the Organizing Committee for the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon have opened another veritable channel for Lagosians to contribute to the development of their City as a volunteer scheme for the Marathon race has been activated.
Head of the Volunteering department for the Lagos City Marathon, Ebidowei Oweifie said the call for volunteers to come on board is in line with international best practices as well as giving the citizenry a chance to be part of the epoch event billed for the Centre of Excellence on February 6, 2016.
