BallondOr: Faclons Coach, Evelyn disagree on Lloyd

SUPER Falcons coach, Danjuma Christopher and team captain, Nwabuoku Evelyn disagreed over the choice of Lloyd Carli who claimed her first ever Women’s World Player of the Year award

on Monday night in Zurich.
The US midfielder came out on top with 35.28% of all votes, ahead of German Célia Šašic (12.60%) and Japan’s Aya Miyama (9.88%).

Coach Danjuma voted for Rapinoe Megan (5pts), Le Sommer Eugénie (3pts) and Buchanan Kadeisha (1pt). Interestingly, the three female players never made it to the final list of FIFA.
For Evelyn, the BIIK Kazygurt of Kazakhstan midfielder gave eventual winner, Lloyd Carli (5pts), Bachmann Ramona (3pts) and Hope Solo (1pt).
However, Nigeria's media representative and Deputy Editor of the Nation/SportingLife, Femi-Babafemi Ejiro Abigail voted Hope Solo (5pts), Lloyd Carli (3pts) and Rapinoe Megan (1pt).
