ENYIMBA FC of Aba are through to the next round of the CAF Champions League after they defeated Ugandan Vipers SC 2-0 on Sunday at the Amiessimaka stadium in Port Harcourt.
MFON Udoh stole the evening for the Peoples Elephants as his brace in the 32nd and 62nd minutes saw the country's flag-bearers progressed to next month’s first round fixture on a 2-1 aggregate.
Udoh opened the scoring in the 32nd minute courtesy of a spot kick after Vipers Wada Da Wakino pulled Batholomew Ibenegbu down in the box.
He then put the icing on the cake in the 61st minute with a easy back heel after a lose ball came his way following a goal mouth melee.
Enyimba will meet the winner between Lioli FC from Lesotho and Burundi’s Vital’O in the first round which will be played in the second weekend on March.
