MUHAMMAD Babaganaru, the Head Coach of Kano Pillars FC, has attributed the team’s 2-1 defeat of Wikki Tourist FC to the outstanding performance put up by his players.
Babaganaru spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria following the team’s victory in Week 3 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football league match at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
The Pillars’ handler said the win was a morale booster ahead of the team’s subsequent matches.
He said he was proud of the team’s performance against Wikki and commended the visitors for their fighting spirit.NAN reports that Pillars’ new sign on, Prince Aggreh, scored the opening goal in the 18th minute, while Ifeanyi Mathew doubled the lead for them in the 65th minute of the entertaining encounter.
Wikki midfielder, Mubarak Umar, scored from the spot when Pillars defender fouled a Wikki player in the 69th minutes.
Abdul Maikaba, Coach of Wikki Tourist, commended his side for their performance.
“I want to commend my players for their wonderful performance and we will perform better in our next games by the Grace of God,” Maikaba said.
