GANARU TO CLUBS: Beware of Kano Pillars

By Rasaq Oboirien
KANO Pillars Baba Ganaru has told the other 19 Nigeria Premier League (NPL) be warry of his team this season, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
Recall the Sai Masu Gida side clinched the third edition of the Gold Cup on Friday in Ijebu-Ode.
"It was a good game, I feel we played a Supreme Court team that was ready to beat Pillars.
"The NNL side were the giant-killers of the Gold Cup pre-season tournament. They defeated the likes of Giwa FC and Lobi Stars, we shared spoils with them in the group stage and in the finals they didn't conceed to us cheap as the 2-1 scoreline was fair enough for them.
"The victory too will give my players the needed confidence to go into the season fully prepared.
Asked if he now has a team that can compete well against the likes of Enyimba, Warri Wolves and others.
"Who's Enyimba, Wolves or Dolphins? If you are talking of a team, I think you have to mention Pillars first. We are on course and ready to take on any of these teams."
A half volley strike form the pre-season tourney top scorer, Omo Johnson and Rabiu Ali's goal from the spot gave the Sai Masu Gida side a 2-0 lead before Supreme Court pulled one back via a penalty kick.
Recall the former NPL champions who finished last season 8th on the log, will kick-off the new football calendar with a home game against Rangers International of Enugu.
