Gyan: Ogunbote said I would score against Ikorodu Utd

GYAN Amos Danladi has revealed that Coach Gbenga Ogunbote's pep talk spurred him on to scoring Giwa FC winning goal in the 1-2 victory against Ikorodu United on matchday 7, reports

Gyan who began training with his Jos team FC last week Thursday after his porpurted move to Kano Pillars hit the rocks owing to none release of his clearance papers by Giwa FC management, silenced Onikan Waterfront fans with his 'gooolazo'goal that saw Ogunbote picking another vital point on

the road.A delighted Gyan said: "It was a huge relief for me scoring the winning goal as it was a tough game.
"It hasn't been easy for me after my transfer to Pillars didn't work out, but I took it in good faith and resumed training with the team in Jos. I was surprised when I was included in the squad that would be in Lagos let alone play against Ikorodu United.
"I'm happy I delivered as Coach Ogunbote who has been a father figure to me since I resumed training with my other mates, told me he has trust in me, that he sees me scoring against Ikorodu Utd.
"So I took the chance when it came."
"I want to dedicate the goal to Coach Ogunbote, Chris Giwa and my fans for their trust in me.
The victory move Giwa FC to the 9th spot on the log with 10 points.
