LEON Balogun has been ruled out of Nigeria's AFCON 2017 double header against Egypt in Kaduna and Alexandria.
The first leg encounter is to hold in Kaduna on March 25 while the return leg comes up four days later.
NaijaSportsXtra gathered on Saturday before FSV Mainz 05 German Bundesliga game that the Nigerian was out of the tie against Werder Bremen which they eventually drew 1-1.
It's official twitter handle @Mainz05en reported that: "Leon #Balogun has picked up a muscular injury and didn't travel to Bremen. Get well soon, @LeonBalogun! #Mainz05 #SVWM05.
However, Balogun did praise his mates after they shared spoils with the Green and Whites.
The Super Eagles defender stated: "Goooaaaaaal!! Yes Baumi 😁💪🏾 @1FSVMainz05 #SVWM05.
Recall Balogun was handed a late invitation by Coach Samson Siasia after missing out on the 42-man list of invited foreign based players.
