According to the Head of the School, Mrs. Margaret Oyesanya, the award is part of the activities of the school 6th Annual Inter-House Sports Competition and having considered the former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Secretary General for his track records both as a player and administrator whose era as the Secretary General to the NFF witnessed appreciable success.
"Our annual sporting event is one way to ensure that all student are able to realize their full potential. In the course of the event, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, will be honoured with the 'Sports Personality of the Year Award' and his presence will demonstrate to the students that sporting activities and fitness are important in life and career," she said.
The State of Osun Pillar of Sports will be honoured with the award at the Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate Sports Ground, Ajah, Lagos.
