Rivers Utd hit Lokoja Friday for Tornadoes

By Rasaq Oboirien
RIVERS United squad will hit Lokoja for the Nigeria Premier League week 6 game against Niger Tornadoes, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
Sammy Wejinya, Head Media of the Garden City side informed that: "Owing to no air strip in Lokoja, the team will fly to Abuja from Port-Harcourt on Friday.
"On arrival in the FCT, arrangements have been made for the squad to drive to the Kogi State capital.
"This we feel will not add fatigue to the team, as we hope to get a point on the road which could begin with Sunday's match against Tornadoes."
Wejinya also said that the Stanley Eguma side will miss the services of defender, Yaovi Douhadji who has been invited by the Togolese FA for the AFCON qualifiers against Tunisia.
"Every player in the squad counts, but I doubt if he would be missed as there are other capable defenders in the team that Eguma can easily call on to."
Rivers United who have recorded three victories and two defeats are placed 5th on the log with 9points.
