SUNSHINE Stars attacking midfielder, Dayo Ojo has expressed his delights after scoring his first goal of the season in the 3-0 bashing of El-Kanemi on Matchday 12, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
"I felt excited after scoring my first goal of the season.
"It was a tough game, that was why we didn't beat them 5-0 this season.
"I'm dedicating the goal to God as I kept faith in him."
Ojo put the icing on the cake for the Owena Waves scoring from the spot kick in extra time.
Afolabi Okiki scored the first goal for the home team when he converted a penalty to put his season tally to four goals. Oladunjoye Isaiaka doubled the lead for side that has now gone six matches unbeaten.
Recall when both teams met at the Akure Township Stadium last season, The Akure Gunners defeated the team from Maiduguri 5-0 as the duo of Paul Onobi and Prince Aggreh bagged a brace
each as Tunde Adeniji was on the goals scorer's sheet too.
