By Rasaq Oboirien
SHOOTING Stars of Ibadan were made to pay for their poor finish after Esosa Igbinoba's strike in the 42nd minute handed Nasarawa United the 3points on Tuesday, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
It was a rescheduled matchday 3 fixture at the Aper Aku Stadium, Markudi, and The Solid Miners got the better of the Oluyole Warriors defence and energetic goalkeeper Fabiyi when Igbinoba fired home a sublime goal from a set-piece.
Three minutes later Fabiyi's agility was put to test again but he made no mistake to deny  Babangida a second goal for the Dogo led side.
The game then turn to a Fabiyi versus Nasarawa Utd, The Les Squirrels of Benin Republic shot-stopper denied Igbinoba his second of the evening with a brilliant save in the 49th minute.
Shooting Stars Tope Orelope will blame himself for not getting the equaliser for his team in the 66th minute as he fired his effort off the target after a good build-up play with his teammates.
Orelope then made things bad for his mates after he missed a sitter in the 80th minute. The attacking midfielder blasted over his effort from close range.
The victory see Nasarawa Utd move out of the bottom four, as they have got 15points from 11games.
