By Rasaq Oboirien
POISED to wrestle Rivers United for the top spot Rangers International of Enugu Coach Imama Amakapabo has revealed that the club will sign seven players, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
The Flying Antelopes held it's first phase of player's screening minutes after the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) transfer window became active on Monday.
It was gathered after the Coal City side's morning session that some players were drilled by the club coaches assistants, as Amakapabo kept close watch on them.
He expressed optimism that the club will sign on quality players to strengthen the team for the second round of the season.
"I need to sign on seven new players and Rangers will become a lot stronger in the second round," stated the ex-Sharks FC boss.
Rangers failed to hold on to the Nigeria Premier League top spot after they shared spoils with Heartland in an Oriental Derby game on matchday 18.
With clubs getting set for the Federation Cup Round of 64 games this weekend, the Amakapabo side who host non-league side Akure City in Abuja, defeated Ebonyi Angels 3-1 in a friendly game played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
