INSURANCE of Benin ex-forward, Austine Ogunye has stated that Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos will not handle the round 32 Federation Cup tie against Kastina United Football Club of Kastina with kid gloves.
The NPFL side will go head to head with Kastina United FC in one of the second round fixtures of the 2015/16 Federation Cup games coming up this Thursday at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, Kogi State.
MFM FC edged El-Kanemi Babes Football Club of Maiduguri 5-3 on penalties after a one all draw at the Kaduna Township Stadium on the 25th of May, 2016.
Ogunye said his side has put behind it the loss to Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt and all attention will be on the Federation Cup clash against the Kastina-based team with the sole aim of advancing to the next round of the competition.
“We have put the outcome of our last league match behind us knowing fully well that every team in this year’s Federation Cup is not a pushover, so we won’t take the game against Kastina United FC lightly.
“Federation Cup has always been a difficult competition due to it’s knockout nature and what’s at stake. It’s also a shortcut to the continent, so we must fight for total victory,” he said.
The Olukoya Boys arrived the City of Lokoja from Port Harcourt on Monday evening.
