Rivers Angels stars visit Orphanage Home

OVERWHELMED with their achievements in the new season, reigning Nigeria Women Premier League champions, Rivers Angels visited the Mother Theresa Orohanage Home in Borokiri and showered the children with gifts on Tuesday.
The gesture was to appreciate God for the club's good start to the two-week old 2015/16 Nigeria Women Premier League season.
The management alongside players of the team visited the Orphanage Home and were received by some of the children and their tutors.
They appreciated the staff of the home for the warm welcome and for accomodating them.
Despite the economic challenges rocking the country, the club feels the children also should have a place in the society.
According to an insider at the club, regardless of the circumstances surrounding them, the children should be celebrated. The club called on well meaning individuals in the society to continue to show love and support to the children saying such a task should not be left for government alone.
"We are so delighted to be here today (Tuesday) and it is with great pleasure that we come to celebrate with these wonderful children in our society," the source said.
"We see them as ours and we will always support them in our own little way.
This is not the first time that this will be happening as the team visited the Orphanage Home in 2015.
The programme featured presentation of food items and other valuables.
