Wikki Tourists go top of NPL

WIKKI Tourists of Bauchi leapfrogged Rivers United to go top of the Nigeria Premier League log as they ended Enyimba's nine games unbeaten run on Wednesday via two late strikes, reports
NaijaSportsXtra.
It was a five star performance for the home team with Godwin Obaje making the headlines as he bagged his 13th goal of the season to remain the top scorer of the league.
It took the Bauchi team 18 minutes to break Enyimba's defence line, as Abubakar Lawal headed from a set-piece beat a helpless goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai.
The game was leveled three minutes later after CHAN Eagles captain, Chima Akas scored from a sublime free-kick at the edge of the box. With the clock ticking away and Enyimba gunning for another point on the road, Idris Guda Mohammed dashed their hopes when he blasted a shot from outside the box in the 88th minute to make it 2-1.
At the dot of 90th minutes, Obaje then put the icing on the cake scoring from the spot after he was infringed inside the box on his way to goal.
The Bauchi side who are on 31 points with Rivers United are top courtesy of a 16 goals difference as against the Garden City team's five, while Enyimba and Kano Pillars are placed 3rd and 4th position.
