FC IFEANYI Ubah coach, Rafael Everton has disclosed that his team has what it takes to get all three points at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos.
The Brazilian Tactician made it clear after the team’s final training session that the squad was well prepared to get the business done.
“This match is very important and we have prepared for it with every seriousness. We are up against a very good opponent, an opponent who is dangerous in so many aspects of the game, especially from set pierces and dead balls but I think we are well prepared.”
When asked of his opinion of the quality of the pitch and whether his team can cope with it, Everton had this to say: ‘All I can say is that the pitch not being good will affect both teams, not only FC Ifeanyi Ubah. Hence I expect the game to be a physical one and a tight affair.”
The next aspect the coach talked about was on the absence of Alberico Da Silva and Elu Wilson due to injury and illness respectively.
Rafael disclosed that in as much the players will be missed, he has faith on the players that will be selected.
“ These players are very important players no doubt about that, we missed them against Kano Pillars and they will be missed on Saturday. However, I believe in all 35 players in the squad, that is my philosophy and I let my players know that they are all important to the club and that they are also the best players in the Nigerian League.”
When asked of his thoughts on the duo of Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Ismaila Gata making the final 25 man list of the NPFL All Star team, Everton said he was very proud and happy for the players.
“ Am happy that the two players made the All Star team, its very good for the team and staff. But I would love to say that its not only Ezenwa and Gata that are the stand out players here, remember I keep saying, FC Ifeanyi Ubah has the best players in the Nigerian League. Other players like Elu Wilson, Oni Jimoh are also doing well. I believe that very soon three to four players of the club will get call ups for the National team.”
FC Ifeanyi Ubah will be without influential midfielder Alberico Da Silva(calf injury), Elu Wilson (illness-malaria), Okereke Maduabuchi (illness), Ismaila Gata and Ezenwa Ikechukwu (NPFL All Stars).
In the reverse fixture FC Ifeanyi Ubah defeated Plateau United 2-0.
