Balogun: I'll be back soon‬

‪By Rasaq Oboirien‬
‪LEON Balogun has assured Super Eagles fans that despite missing out of next month 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Zambia in Ndola as a result of injury, that he would be back soon, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com‬
‪The Nigerian ‬suffered a muscle strain in FSV Mainz 05 home loss to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Saturday and is expected to miss the next two matches his Bundesliga club confirmed on Monday.
Balogun took to social media, Twitter: "‪Not delighted about my injury at all! It's part of the game though. Good thing about it, I'll be back real soon 💪🏾🙌🏾 ‬#WontBeGoneTooLong #LB.‬
‪However, ‬Mainz's official website revealed on Monday that :"Balogun will miss the Zerofivers’ upcoming Europa League fixture against Gabala FC on Thursday, as well as the weekend’s Bundesliga game against VfL Wolfsburg."
Recall, this not the first time injury has ruled Balogun out of Nigeria's major game or qualifiers.
Under late Stephen Keshi, the defender missed out in the final cut for the last Mundal in Brazil, after injuring himself in a warm up game.
The same fate caught up with him under Samson Siasia after coach Sunday Oliseh resigned, injury knocked him out of the double header clash against Egypt in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in March 2016.
