RUSSIA 2018: Super Eagles will qualify-Alimi

JAMIU Alimi has assured Nigerians that the Super Eagles will qualify for the World Cup in Russia, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Kano Pillars defender who was called up for the last weekend's AFCON 2017 dead-rubber game against Tanzania by new Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr is yet to make is senior international cap for Nigeria.
He posted on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, "Am back with Kano Pillars after the exciting moment with the Super Eagles and the new manager Gernot Rohr.
"I'm honoured to play under the new coach, and to represent my dear country. I'm looking forward to the World Cup Qualifiers.
"I want to assure Nigerians we won't fail this time. It is a new era and we are focused, ambitious and ready to give our best."
He went further to appreciate the support of the Maisu Gida fans and indeed the media haven played in the CHAN-Eagles that featured in Rwanda.
"I appreciate Kano Pillars and the great fans. Also, the Nigerian media for their keen support. God Bless everyone."
Nigeria will begin its quest for a Russia 2018 spot when it tackles familiar foe, Zambia's Chipolopolo on October 3rd in Lusaka.
Recall that continent giants, Algeria and Cameroon are in the same group with Nigeria.
