Rohr unleash Iwobi, Iheanacho, 22 others on Algeria

By Rasaq Oboirien
GERNOT Rohr has named informed Arsenal ace, Alex Iwobi, Manchester City, Kelechi Iheanacho and 22 other Eagles  for next month’s Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying match against Algeria' Desert Foxes in Uyo, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed the 24-man list on Saturday night, as most of the players who featured in the victory over Zambia's Chipolopolo in Ndola were retained by the Franco-German.
Interesting, Gernot who told the media prior to the World Cup qualifiers opening game against Zambia that John Ogu was not better than the players that he had in camp, may have bowed to pressure owing to his form, as he has invited the in-form Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder and Dream Team top scorer at the Rio Olympics,  Oghenekaro Etebo.
Mainz 05 of Germany-based defender, Leon Balogun and Chelsea Victor Moses who both missed the tie in Ndola due to injury have also been recalled likewise Odion Ighalo.
Watford FC of England ace, Isaac Success has been ruled out of the game as he's nursing an injury.
Ex-junior international goalkeeper Dele Alampasu and Dutch-based defender Tyrone Ebuehi are also invited.
IfeanyiUbah goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa is the only home-based player in the squad.
Players are expected to start arriving at the team’s Bolton White Apartment in Abuja on Sunday, 6 November.
The Super Eagles welcome the Desert Foxes at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday, 12 November.
