SUPER Eagles shot stopper, Carl Ikeme has expressed hopes that the hip injury he suffered while on duty with Wolverhampton Wanderers is not serious as Nigeria prepares for next month Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Algeria in Uyo, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Nigerian had to be replaced before the start of the second half in Wolves’ 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday as a result of the injury which occurred after a save.
Ikeme on social media, twitter after the game shared a tweet: "We deserved at least a point and lads all dug in. Hopefully injury nothing to serious.Congrats @_DaveEdwards great goal and performance 🙌🏾," it read on @Carl_Ikeme.
