Leekens to lead Algeria against Nigeria

THE Federation of Algerian Football (FAF) has named Georges Leekens as the new coach of the Desert Foxes ahead of next month's Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria in Uyo.
The Belgian and FAF boss, Mohamed Raouraoua were said to have agreed terms after efforts to sign other coaches hit the rocks.
Leekens, 67 years old arrived in Algiers Thursday afternoon  to resume work.
Recall their former coach, Milovan Rajevac resigned after the Foxes home draw against Cameroon Indomitable Lions on matchday 1.
The former Algerian coach who terminated his contract with Lokeren on Tuesday is expected to bring along his assistants and also work with Rajevac's backroom staff.
Nigeria top Group B with 3points after beating Zambia on Ndola while Algeria and Cameroon shared the spoils on matchday 1.
