Algeria lose Lyon star ahead Nigeria tie

ALGERIA could be without Rachid Ghezzal for next week's Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria in Uyo, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Ghezzal who got a penalty for his team, Lyon, hurt himself during a Ligue Une game on Saturday as he collided with FC Bastia goalkeeper in the box in the 37th minute.
The striker who played with pains, had to be substituted in the 68th minute as it appeared that he had picked up a groin injury.
The injury would of course rule him out of the Group B game against the Super Eagles on November 12.
A replacement is expected to be named by Georges Leekens on or before Monday next week.
Recall French-born youngster Adam Unas was dropped for the Desert Foxes World Cup game in Uyo after he picked up an ankle injury in Bordeaux barren draw against Marseille last Sunday.
Gernot Rohr's Eagles sit top of the log with 3points after it's 2-1 victory over Zambia's Chipolopolo in Ndola while Algeria and Cameroon are level on a point as they drew in Algiers on match day 1 of the qualifiers.
