AWCON 2016: Ghana to unleash German-born star on Falcons

GHANA is set to unleash former Germany U-19 star, Eunice Beckmann on arch rival, Nigeria's Super Falcons at the African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Cameroon, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The 24-year-old born of a Ghanaian parents and strikes for Boston Breakers in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), has switched her nationality to the West African country.
Eunice has even joined the Black Queens camp in preparations for Women championship which kicks off on November 16.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is still awaiting an approval from FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) regarding the nationality switch of the ex-Bayern Munich Women football team ace.
Black Queens who open their campaign against Kenya in Limbe, cup holders, Nigeria and Mali are in Group B while host Cameroon, South Africa, Egypt and Zimbabwe square it up in Group A.
