Nigeria will miss Ikeme against Algeria-Rohr

By Rasaq Oboirien
GERNOT Rohr says the Super Eagles will miss the services of its goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme in Saturday's World Cup qualifiers against Algeria in Uyo.
The Franco-German did not hide his disappointment at the absence of the Wolverhampton Wanderers of England first choice shot stopper who injured his hip during a Championship game against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park two weeks ago, in his pre-match chat.
"Sincerely, I am disappointed with his absence. He could have helped the national team at this important match, its a pity.
"As for his replacement, I have not decided yet.
"I have two substitute goalkeepers who will compete against Algeria for a place in goal," he added.
Nigeria currently top Group B with 3points from the victory against Zambia's Chipolopolo in its opening game, while Algeria sit third on the log after they shared the spoils with Cameroon in Algiers.
