NIGERIA'S Super Falcons should expect the worse in terms of logistics as the Local Organising Committee (LOC) has opted to hire rickety buses that will be used to convey teams and fans during the African Women Nations Cup (AWCON) in Cameroon.
The 11th edition of the female version of the continent biggest football fiesta kicks off on 19 November in Limbe and Yaounde.
Reports in some local media revealed that the Cameroonian authorities has shelved of plans to buy brand new luxury buses from Portugal, rather it has enter a lease agreement with some transport companies for their buses to be used during the championship.
Some of the buses that were provided by the inter-urban firms are said not to be properly refurbished.
It's claimed that the road worthiness of some are poor, that they could even breakdown while transporting teams to and from match venues.
The cooling system of some are said to be faulty too.
So Coach Florence Omagbemi and her Super Falcons could face one or two challenges while in Limbe.
Defending champions, Nigeria is in Group B with rivals, Ghana, Kenya and Mali while Group A is led by host, Cameroon, South Africa, Egypt and Zimbabwe.
