All is set for the maiden edition of Ekiti State ALGON Cup which is scheduled to kick off December 12, 2016 among Secondary Schools in all the 16 local government in Ekiti State.
The competition is packaged by Phoenix Athletics Sports Limited and powered by Association of Local Governments Chairmen , ALGON Ekiti State Chapter under the leadership of Hon. Dapo Olagunju.
Ekiti State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Ekiti State FA towers the line of Governor Ayodele Fayose in development agenda by endorsing competition.
“This is an opportunity to discover and nurture upcomimg and talented footballers in Ekiti state to stardom. Isaac success, Alex lwobi, Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Nwakali and Kelechi Iheancho among others were made from grassroots competitions like this and we’re poised to ensure we fish out exceptional talents,” Phoenix boss, Bayo Olanlege said.
