Pillars get #120m take off grant

The Kano State government has approved the released of N120 million to Kano Pillars to wrestle Rangers, Rivers United, others for the Nigeria Premier League, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The whooping sum is part of the club's take off grant for 2016/2017 season which is expected to kick-off on December 18.
State Commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba stated this Thursday while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state Executive Council meeting.
Recall the Masu Gida team recently got a new management board led by Tukur Babangida who guided the club to its first NPL title and CAF Champions League appearance in 2008/09.
Kano Pillars finished on the 7th spot on the league last season after amassing 52 points from 36 matches last month named veteran coach, Kadiri Ikhana as its new technical adviser.
