EX-junior international, Nnduka Ugbade says he would quit from his role as Remo Stars Technical Adviser if the club does not end the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) season among the top 10, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Ugbade in his post-chat interview after his Sky Blue Stars lost their opening game to Kastina United in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super4, "The victors unlike us are not new to the premier league but it shouldn't be an excuse for my team to lose against them."
"You all saw what we did in the Gold Cup Pre-season tourney we had in Ijebu-Ode, despite most of my lads been young they did very well when we played against the likes of Enyimba, Lobi Stars and Crown FC.
"This is a promise I want to make here tonight in Gombe, Remo Stars will be a team to beat in the upcoming Nigeria Premier League (NPL) season which kicks off next year.
"I'll quit if at the end of the season Remo Stars do not finish seventh or 10th on the log," a confident Ugbade stated.
The Sky Blue Stars will begin their debut in the topflight with an home game against Plateau United.
