Ikorodu Utd retains 14, unveil new packages for players

IN its quest to regain its Nigeria Premier League status at the end of the season, the management of Ikorodu United have unveiled a mouthwatering packages for its players.
NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com scooped from an inside source of the GoTv sponsored team that 14 players from the last season squad have been retained by the Maurice Cooreman technical crew.
"I can inform you that the club has retained 14 players from squad that featured in the NPFL last season.
"The club has concluded plans to review the salary structure of the players. There should be an increase in the monthly income of the lads. It can go as high as One hundred and fifty thousand to Two hundred thousand Naira (#150,000 to #200,000) as the case my be.
"There is also the plan to get a two or three bedroom apartments in Ikorodu for five out of the 14 players retain owing to their marital status.
"They are married so we want ease the accommodation stress for them, so they can live with their families here in Ikorodu and come for training from their respective homes rather than live in the camp with the unmarried players.
"This is good motivation from the club as it will in the long run bring out the best from our players."
The club will begin a new life in the country's second tier league, Nigeria National League (NNL) in February after it got relegated last season.
