Ikorodu Utd, Wolves, Heartland to kick-off NNL season February 24

 

RELEGATED Nigeria Premier League of Ikorodu United, Warri Wolves and Heartland will begin the quest for a promotion ticket as the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season is expected to kick-off on February 24 or 25 and come to a climax on 13th and 14th of October.

The new NNL Board led by Chidi Ofo Okenwa says the new season will run for a period of eight(8) months with 32 teams involved.
According to the information gathered from it, reconciliation of the clubs began from Janaury 9th and ended on 13th.
The NNL informed that it will take three days for the collection of materials online as the exercise with end 19th January.
It in quest to ensure that the game is played on football and television friendly pitches, the NNL Stadium Inspection Committee will begin work as from February 1 to 4.
A congress for the participating Clubs will be held on 9-10th February, while the clubs are to return forms and collection of licenses of their players.
The calendar further informed that the mid-season registration of newly signed players will be done as from 3-13 July.
With the season ending on 13 &  14 of October, the new NNL board stated that it's 
Super Four competition will be held as from 3-5 November 2017,
Recall the trio of Warri Wolves, Heartland and Ikorodu United got relegated to the NNL from the topflight division at the end of last season while the faith of Giwa FC of Jos is not known yet as no official statement has been made regarding the team that would take its spot.
