Kwambe's lone strike nail Kano Pillars


 
SOLOMON Kwambe's 33mins lone strike was what Lobi Stars needed to pip Kano Pillars at the Aper Aku Stadium Makurdi.
The game which was Lobi Stars first home game lived of to expectations as both side show class of what the NPFL League should be as it was end to end action not until the 33mins when a cross from the former CHAN-Eagles defender was misjudged by David Obiozor in goal for Kano Pillars and the ball flew into the net to send the fans into wild jubilation.
The second half  restarted with the same way as it finished in the first half with the attacking combination of Nwagua Nyima, Kingsley Edowu causing all sorts of problem for Kano Pillars defence as Chinedu Udoji  and Emmanuel Anyawu were busy keeping them off the line. 
Several opportunities came the chances came begging as the likes of Anthony Okpotu, Kingsley Edowu, Christain Chris came close at the closing hour mark but fail to convert their chance, Kano Pillars on the other hand came close twice with Lobi Stars Goalkeeper John Lawerence in goal for Lobi Stars who pulled a man of the match denied  them the opportunities twice.
Stadium was parked as fans of the both team enjoy their team display classic  football Lobi Stars next match will be away to MFM FC of Lagos this weekend.
