Nasarawa Utd players physique was key-Ugbade

TECHNICAL Adviser of Remo Stars, Nduka Ugbade says their defeat to Nasarawa United showed the difference between players who have played in the Premier League for sometime and players who have never had the opportunity to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) before now.
"I am very satisfied with my boys with the way they played because in situations where you expect high performance and you play against teams that have a profile in the NPFL, you won't expect any other result but scorelines like 6nil or 8nil and for my boys to be able to come back from a goal down to 1-1 before the error of the goal then it is an impressive thing for me and each individual of my team."
"The match was wonderful but you can see the difference between experienced players."
"If you look critically to the game science, you will see that Nasarawa United players are big body wise, they can compete more at the highest level but our players are smaller and you saw it during the game."
"The body mass affected us, they moved the ball very well with experience but our lads lack confidence because of inexperience in the game."
The NPFL debutants lost 3-1 to the Lafia Boys Kabiru on Match Day four fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Abdulraham Bashir got to the end of a cross from Zenke Thomas to give the host the lead in the 14th minute.
Martaba Umar and Ekene Awazie combined well in the 39th minute to put one pass Suraj Ayeleso but he was quick to make a decent save for the host team.
In the 62nd minute, Abiodun Awoyemi equalises for the Sky Blue Stars after Suraj Ayeleso was unable to handle Ochowechi Salefu cross at first attempt.
Douglas Achiv doubled the lead for the host in the 70th minute with a shot from outside the box.
The hopes of the Sky Blue Stars was weakened after Seidu Mohammed mistakenly handled the ball in the box and Emmanuel Makama scores from the
penalty spot to get the third goal for the host.
The Sky Blue Stars will host El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu on Sunday.
