NNL mourns late Magaji

 
TOP brass of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has sent a special message of condolence to the family of its Independent Vice Chairman,Hon Abdulkadir Magaji and the Kaduna State Football Association over the sad and shocking news of his (Magaji) death.
Magaji, who was equally the Chairman of the Kaduna State Football Association, died in the morning of Tuesday (17-01-17) at a Lagos hospital after battling with abnormal cell growth-cancer.
NNL Chairman,Chidi Ofo Okenwa said “’we convey our deepest heartfelt sympathy to his family and his people over his sudden demise,his exit will not only leave a void in our hearts but also in the lives of those who knew him,he was a very special human being,a team player and a lover of the Football “
He prayed that Allah will grant the soul of Abdulkadir Magaji eternal rest.
Chidi Ofo Okenwa promised that he would lead a strong delegate of the NNL to join other stakeholders in ensuring the late Abdulkadir will be given a befitting burial in his home town.
His remains would be flown from Lagos to Kaduna and would be committed to mother earth in Shika, Zaria on Tuesday,according to Muslim rites.
He was a graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Magaji was a two –time Member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, and was also a two –time Special Adviser to the Kaduna State Governor on sports.
Late Magaji was a member of the NFF Match Commissioners’ Appointment Committee.He is survived by his father, wife and three children,he died at age 52.
