REVEALED: Mikel voted Ronaldo for TheBest FIFA Award

JOHN Mikel Obi voted Cristiano Ronaldo for 2016 TheBest FIFA Men's Player of the Year award, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Real Madrid star was named the world's best player at the inaugural Best Fifa Football Awards in Zurich.
The 31-year-old Portugal forward beat Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann to the prize.
Statistics provided by FIFA on how captains and coaches of national teams voted, informed that Mikel gave Ronaldo 5points 
The Tianjin TEDA new signing also voted Griezmann ahead Neuer casting 3points and 1point respectively.
Rohr favored Griezmann ahead Messi for the award with 5points, the Barcelona star, 3points while the German international who didn't make the final three nomination got a point.
For country's media, FIFA didn't nominate a Nigerian sports journalist to vote.
Recall Ronaldo also won the Ballon d'Or in December, with both honours recognition for success in the Champions League with Real and Euro 2016 with Portugal.
Carli Lloyd of the United States was named the world's best female player.
Leicester's Claudio Ranieri was named best men's coach, ex-Germany boss Silvia Neid won the female coach award, while Penang's Mohd Faiz Subri received the Puskas award for the best goal of 2016.
