VALENCIA chief Suso Garcia Pitarch has confirmed talks with Super Eagles skipper, Mikel John Obi.
Garcia Pitarch says the La Liga strugglers have offered the 29-year-old a route out of the club.
"In the case of Obi Mikel, with Chelsea's permission, I met with him in London on Christmas day," Pitarch told Superdeporte.
"I informed him of the option of joining Valencia. He said he would think about it."
Mikel is yet to feature under Antonio Conte at all this season and his contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer.
Meanwhile the Olympique de Marseille option for the Nigerian could be off the cards owing to his earnings with Chelsea.
Mikel is said to be earning as much as £80,000-per-week with the London club as his contract is expected to expire by June this year.
The French Ligue 1 team is said to consider Mikel's wages as been too rich for the club.
