A first half strike from Niger Tornadoes top scorer, Chidebere Blessing Ajoku saw Remo Stars crashing at home again on Matchday 7 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Sky Blues Stars took the game to their opponents but the Ikon Allah boys had their shot stopper, Mustapha Aliko to thank as his experience proved vital as he stopped Daniel Okorie point blank shot at goal after a good pass from Ekene Awazie.
Awazie was presented another chance to give Remo Stars the lead in the early minutes but his effort went off target.
Ajoku then increased his season goal tally to four after he tapped into the net from an
Ebenezer Odeyemi goal bound shot in the 22nd minute.
Odeyemi's muscular structure was far too much to contain by Remo Stars defenders as he muscled his way pass Onuoha Chukwujekwu and goalkeeper Walbe David to shoot the ball to the net, but as the ball was rolling off the goal line, Ajoku then diverted the ball into the net to make it 0-1 for the visitors.
The second half saw a rejuvenated Remo Stars as it was a game between them against goalkeeper Mustapha Aliko.
The introduction of Nonso Paul changed the tempo of the game for Remo Stars with several attempts to get an equaliser but Niger Tornadoes defenders stood tall to deny the lads.
All attempts to get back into the game proved abortive with saves from goalkeeper, Aliko and Niger Tornadoes defence line of Adeshina Abdul-Lateef, Hussani Isah, Ikefe Andrew and Sunday Akinloladun.
