Hon. Aliyu dangles #500k home win carrot on Tornadoes

 
NIGER Tornadoes will go into the week six of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on high note when they host Katsina United at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja on Sunday following their impressive 1-1draw against current NPFL champions Enugu Rangers.
The spirit of the camp of the Minna landlords was further boosted with the arrival of the clubs chairman, Hon. Adamu Aliyu when he stormed the Confluence Stadium in an unscheduled visit to witness the clubs training session on Friday. 
Aliyu institutionalized the ‘chairman personal performance reward’; he told the players that henceforth should they win home matches a reward of five hundred thousand naira (N500, 000) was theirs.
‘‘Am very happy with your performance, you have proved to be true professionals, I urge you to continue with the hard work the management is solidly with you and assist you to develop.
The chairman had earlier on given the team the sum of N200, 000 for securing a draw at the Cathedral in their matchday 5 match against Rangers International; he also presented N20, 000 to two outstanding players of Week 5 tie.
‘The incentive am giving is outside the official one, I want to encourage competition amongst you, but above all we should leave as one family. Don’t hesitate to let us know anything you think is hindering your performance or disturbing you’, he added.
