RELEGATED Ikorodu United, Warri Wolves and Heartland will begin their quest for a promotion ticket away from home, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
This was made known after the country's second tier league board, Nigeria National League (NNL) on Thursday released the Matchday 1 fixtures for the new season which is expected to kick-off next month.
The trio will be away to Crown FC, Abia Comets and Delta Force respectively in what looks like a derby for the three teams.
Another derbies for the week is an Efik-Ibibio tie between Akwa Starlets versus Unicem Rovers, as newly promoted duo of AS Racine and Papilo FC will light up Lagos to know who claims the bragging rights.
Another tough encounter will be between former Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Bayelsa United and recently named Osun United (Prime FC).
Giwa FC who was banished by the League Management Company (LMC) for flouting its rules after it failed to honour three consecutive league games will kick-off their quest for a topflight ticket with a home game against Jigawa Golden Stars.
Traditional team, Insurance of Benin will be having their hands full against the Synagogue Church of All Nations sponsored My People FC at the Ogbe Stadium while Kaduna United play away to Safety Strikers (FRSC FC of Abuja).
