LOBI Stars hero against Remo Stars, Tony Okpotu has vowed to score more goals in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Lobi ace cancelled out a Victor Mboama first half strike four minutes after the restart of the second half after he tapped into the net after goalkeeper, Chizoba Ndukwe spilled the ball to his path following a save from a short range shot.
"I feel excited scoring the equalizer against Remo Stars and my first goal of the season after going eight matches without scoring.
"It has been nightmares for me not scoring as I usually come from the bench.
"It was my first start this season, I knew I was going to score after coming close to leveling scores a few minutes after Remo Stars (Victor Mboama) had found the net am glad I did today (Sunday).
"I would have been happier if I had scored the winning goal but the one point is better than nothing.
"It's our second point on the road and an important one for the team as it will boost our confidence level as the matches comes."
Okpotu who had a good goal scoring form last season said further, "Today's (Sunday) goal won't be my last as I want to score more goals and help my team to finish well at the end of the season ."
Lobi Stars who are 6th on the NPFL log with 12points will be visitors to Rangers International of Enugu on Wednesday in a rescheduled fixture.
