COACH Fatai Osho has stressed that his Remo Stars team will get better as they prepare for Sunday's Matchday 10 south-west derby against Shooting Stars of Ibadan, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The former Crown FC of Ogbomosho gaffer got his NPFL coaching career off in a bright start sharing spoils with Lobi Stars just with one week of preparations.
In his post-match comments, "Am highly impressed with my players, ideally we ought to have at least two months to train together, but in just less than a week after I joined them and they have been able to adapt to my programme, by getting a draw against a team like Lobi Stars, just how the outcome would have been if I was with them at the kick-off of the season," he said.
"I want to assure you that with time, my Remo Stars team will get better. I would like to state in clear terms that the result from this game or that from the previous has not set pressure on the team rather we just have to raise our head high and keep up the hard work."
Osho, however refused to blame goalkeeper, Chizoba Ndukwe for gifting Lobi Stars the equalizing goal"
"A football team play as a unit where all components must compliment each other, why should I blame my goalkeeper for the equalizing goal, we must ask ourselves, how did the ball get to the his goal. If the man before him didn't do his job, why blame him as the last man.
"I feel he should not be singled out, let's see it, as a team that didn't do pretty well."
On the game against the Oluyole Warriors, "Our next game is a south-west derby against Shooting Stars of Ibadan, I feel if we get the kind of referring like the one we saw against Lobi Stars, it thus mean we can get a point anywhere."
"For our fans, they should not tag us as a relegation team yet, rather they see as a team that will improve match after match. If in one week the team can do this, imagine another week or weeks."
Recall Victor Mboama put Remo Star up after he scored his third goal of the season from a corner kick after less than 20 minutes of play.
Tony Opotu should have leveled scores immediately for Lobi Stars but his shot from point blank was saved by goalkeeper Chizoba Ndukwe.
Opotu then made amends from his first half miss scoring within four minutes of second half restart.
Opotu tapped into the net after Ndukwe spilled the ball to his path.
The Sky Blues Stars have got 7points from 8 games.
