KASTINA United skipper, Nasiru Sani is most likely to partner Timothy Danladi on Sunday at Niger Tornadoes in the absence of injured experienced defender, Ado Ali.
Ali is a major injury doubt for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 6 game in Lokoja and as such coach Bala Nikyu will now have altered the central defensive partnership he has lined up since the start of the season.
Nasiru Sani has caught the eye from his leftback position for ‘The Changi Boys’ as he provided two assists in the team’s home win in the season opener against Gombe United.
Should he now be drafted to the heart of the back four, his place at leftback will be taken up by Nigeria Olympic international Faisal Sani.
Faisal Sani, a graduate of the Abuja Football College, has yet to make the matchday squad since the NPFL season got underway last month.
Katsina United are ninth on the NPFL standings with seven points from five matches, while Niger Tornadoes are 17th having recorded five points.
