FATAI Amoo has assured fans that Shooting Stars best is yet to come, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Oluyole War Lords recorded their second home victory against Rivers United on Matchday 6.
"We were delighted with the victory, credit to our fans too for keeping faith with the team during its bad time.
"My players knew what their fans wanted and they responded well by getting the result. It proved that it was a matter of time for the team to start picking points," said Amoo.
Speaking on his team's progress after picking 7points from a possible 18, "We are building a team, and in this process, the young players we have registered for the season must start playing games.
"If you have observed, we have started using one or two of them either during our home or away games. In the essence of this is to expose them now that the season is still at its early stage and not when the season has got to its climax.
I must be candid and be fair to the youngsters we have introduced in one or two of our matches, they have not disappointed us (coaching staffs), as they have been brilliant.
"I feel our fans are yet to see the full potentials of the team and they should please give the squad time to blend."
The Oluyole Warriors who didn't play a game on Matchday 7 and 8 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) owing to Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Rangers International of Enugu respective engagements in the CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League last week, hosted Nigeria National League (NNL) team, Osun United in a tune-up game which they won 3-2.
Amoo will this weekend lead his team out against Katsina United in a Matchday 9 fixture.
