FOLLOWING reports of the resignation of Enyimba's Chairman Felix Anyansi Agwu after the club claimed its seventh NPL crown, the Peoples Elephants management wish to set the record straight and declare that he remains Chairman of Enyimba Football Club.
The NFF Technical Committee boss has served our club with remarkable selflessness and unbending will. By any measure, he has transformed Enyimba Football Club and our rich and proud history and achievements will forever be linked to his service.
Our recent success as Champions of Nigeria for the seventh time is further proof of his dedication and commitment to our continued success.
Anyansi wants the best for Enyimba, always.
It is this desire for the continued success of our club that has led him to express grave concerns over certain factors. Factors that if left unaddressed, would undermine his abilities to carry on his job effectively and take us to greater heights.
Unfortunately, these statements have been misinterpreted as an act of resignation.
He remains Chairman of Enyimba Football Club and would always strive for the development of our club and the sport.
