SUPER Eagles Head Coach Sunday Oliseh has commended Sihlangu’s gallant performance after their 2-0 win over nation pride on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The former Juventus and Borrusia Dortmund player admitted that Sihlangu were a hard nut to crack despite playing in front of their home fans at the oil rich city.
He said the match was tough as Sihlangu gave them a good run for their money.
“This was not an easy match and I am happy we eventually won 2-0. It was an open game and could have gone either way.”
He said Sihlangu played with their hearts out.
“The fact is, Swaziland’s FIFA ranking is unfair to them.
They played with their hearts over the two legs and made things pretty difficult for us. We will continue working hard in the group stages and I am happy with my players performance. He said they had to dig deep to get the win."
Goals from Simon Mosses and Efe Ambrose handed Nigeria the ticket to group stages of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers after the two country’s played to a goalless draw in the first leg played Friday at Somhlolo National Stadium last Friday.
