SIHLANGU head coach Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga says they were
ready for Friday's clash against Nigeria in the 2018 World Cup Qualifier to be played at the Somhlolo National Stadium.
Speaking on Wednesday after the national pride’s training at
the country’s mecca, Bulunga said all was set for their clash
against the Super Eagles.
“As you have seen all the 22 players participated in today’s’
training, you witnessed the high spirit in our camp for this
match.
“We are doing final touch-ups here and there and we hope the
players won’t pick late injuries before match day,” Bulunga
said.
The coach said the players were responding well to his
methods and was now looking forward to host the Super Eagles.
“I am happy with the squad and trust that they deliver in the
eagerly awaited encounter against the Sunday Oliseh-led
charges. All that is left is for the nation to come in their
numbers at Somhlolo and rally behind the boys.”
Worth noting is that one could easily tell that the spirit
was high among the players in yesterday’s training.
They were going through their paces, practising place kicks
with winger Tony Tsabedze delivering crosses on the left
flank for Felix Badenhorst and Sandile Hlatshwayo to score.
The goalkeepers in Mpikeleli ‘Rabo’ Dlamini, Nhlanhla Gwebu
and Sandile ‘Nkomishi’ Ginindza would now and again take
turns between the poles.
