City agree deal to sign Nwakali

MANCHESTER City are apparently on the verge of signing
Nwakali’s little brother, Kelechi, following his Golden Ball
at this year’s 2015 U17 World Cup.
According to AS in Spain, the Premier League team have

already sorted out a deal for the young midfielder, who ended
the tournament with three goals and three assists.
Despite not scoring as many as his teammate Victor Osimhen

(10 goals in seven games), the Nigerian captain was voted the
tournament’s best player, as he led his country to their
fifth U17 World Cup.
Back in February, there had already been talk of the

youngster joining his brother at Manchester City, with his
agent, Klay Ekeocha, even admitting the Premier League club
were leading the race to sign him, but a move never
materialised.
However, with renewed rumours of Kelechi Nwakali moving to

Manchester City, AS have seemingly confirmed the deal by
saying the 17-year-old will be joining Manuel Pellegrini’s
side.
